ORIGINAL STORY: Stephen Collins has confessed to child molestation, according to TMZ. The site obtained a tape of the 67-year-old 7th Heaven alum allegedly confessing his actions to his estranged wife, actress Faye Grant, in 2012.

Collins' admission was taped unbeknownst to him during a therapy session with Grant. According to TMZ, one is secretly allowed to tape conversations for evidence in California in the course of gathering evidence if the other person has committed a possible felony.

In the recording, Collins revealed that he came into contact with multiple female children. One in particular was a New York relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman, whom he molested "a couple of times" when she was 11, 12, and 13 years old.

"There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis," Collins could be heard saying on the tape. When asked if it aroused him, he replied: "No, I mean, no. Partial, maybe I think." The unidentified girl reported the incident in 2012. Find out more about his alleged admissions here.

Other girls involved included his L.A. neighbor, whom he admitted he tried to apologize to years later. A third female was from New York and was between 12 and 13 at the time. NYPD is currently investigating the matter.

Collins is best known for playing Reverend Eric Camden on the family drama 7th Heaven from 1996 to 2007. He ended his 27-year marriage to Grant back in May 2012.

The actor most recently surfaced last month when he reunited with his 7th Heaven family for the first time in eight years. He grabbed dinner with his former costars Jessica Biel, Beverley Mitchell, Barry Watson, David Gallagher, and Catherine Hicks at Mantee Café in L.A.'s Studio City neighborhood.
